2025 was my second full year of group headshot sessions that I call ‘Capture and Connect‘. The concept is that four women come on a walk with me and you get your individual portraits taken whilst being able to socialise with and support the other group members, and afterwards we go for a cuppa to get to know each other a bit better. The walk means you get a variety of backdrops and the chance to mix up your outfits a bit. You don’t have to be ‘on ‘ all the time and often the other people in the group help inspire you. There’s been a real sense of camaraderie and everyone is supportive of each other and cheerleads the other members. It’s even been handy to have people step in as a ‘back of head model’ so it looks like you’re talking to a client.
The experience means to get you share the nerves and because you’re socialising, you’re more relaxed and the resulting photos are full of personality and joy. My shoots are always fun, but these ones are just a bit extra because you can feed off everyone’s energy.
In 2025, 28 incredible women joined me in Berkhamsted, Tring, Old Amersham, Leighton Buzzard, St Albans, Old Hemel, Ashridge and Spitalfields in London. I also did my first festive session in London amongst the baubles and lights of Mayfair.

I had two ‘members’ this year – women who signed up to four seasonal shoots so they have had a bank of images to use throughout the year and have met more people and made more connections.
