Hello, and welcome to the Aldcroft Photography website – I hope you enjoy your visit!
I’m a thirty-something Mum (to two scrumptious boys!) living in Aston Clinton with my husband Jim who I met at university when I was still a teen (just)! We survived a year of me studying abroad in Pisa (I am obsessed with Italy) and I went on to do a Masters in Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art.
I was never far from a camera, but academically, my creative side was never fulfilled.
In 2011, Jim and I were able to take a career break to travel, and in that time I was surgically attached to my camera, visiting 15 countries in 7 months, I took 1000's of photos! Having always enjoyed photography, the photos I took on that trip gave me the confidence to pursue it as a career, and when I returned to the UK it seemed like the perfect opportunity to embrace my passion for my hobby professionally.
In 2012 I took a Diploma in Wedding Photography with Barrett & Coe, a nationwide exemplar of quality in photography, and achieved a Grade 1. The Barrett & Coe Diploma is recognised by the Master Photographers Association. Since then, I have been photographing weddings and families.
I love meeting families and photographing them having fun together. It's always an honour to capture a moment in a family's story, watching them run, laugh and love. The best photos I take are when your family is happy and relaxed, whether that’s in your home, in the garden or out on location, I am happy to work around what suits you best, making for great natural images.
Bespoke Photo Albums
I've made photo albums for years now, of special holidays and occasions. I'm now offering this to clients with a bespoke service. High quality, but affordable books, these are perfect coffee table books and a great way to collate your digital images. It could be for a holiday, wedding, baby's first year, or as a gift for a big birthday. Please get in touch for a personal quote.
I strive to take pictures that will forever remind you of your wedding day, whether that's the father of the bride barely holding back the tears, a close friend enjoying your delicious wedding breakfast, a lovingly crafted favour or a red-faced groom during the best man’s speech!
My aim is not only to capture the images of your wedding, but to bring back the memories and emotions through the photographs of your big day. I love taking beautiful pictures for couples - pictures they can be proud of and their family and friends can enjoy forever. My style is a mixture of traditional portrait shots as well as candid reportage photos that capture the sentiments and excitement of the day.I got married myself in 2007, so I understand the importance of having a great wedding photographer, and I am focused on not crowding or monopolising your day. My aim is to make you and your guests as comfortable as possible in order to get the best out of you in your wedding photos.
So, if you’re planning a Wedding or Christening, have a newborn, or want some family photos, please feel free to call me for a chat about what I can provide.
