One of the highlights for 2024 was unexpectantly working for luxury perfume brand Maison Francis Kurkdjian. My first event with them was in February and came about because a mutual contact told me they were having an event at the Grove in Watford and did I want to put a quote forward, and of course, I said yes!
I got the gig and had a great time capturing drinks, dinner, award presentations and dancing at their celebration party. The Grove was a stunning location and people travelled from as far as Edinburgh for the event. There was an incredible magician to entertain guests through dinner and amazing all female sequin clad live dance music act, House of Angels to get everyone on the dance floor. It was EPIC! So much so, once my time was up, I actually went for a bit of a dance myself!
What an introduction to MFK! The team were so pleased with the photos and how I worked at the party, that they invited me to photograph a training day later in the year. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, as this was going to be a very different event. I travelled to the Grand Hotel in Birmingham for their summer seminar. I was working for the training team who were educating their sales representatives across the country. The training included detailed information about some of the fragrances, how displays should be set out in store and team building exercises. It was fascinating and I was immediately bought into the brand. The teams have such passion and pride and they are a really close knit family. I found it truly inspiring! My next event was the following week in London (for the south team) at 1 Hotel in Mayfair.
I returned to London, to Shoreditch this time, in September for the training event for the launch of their new fragrance APOM (my absolute favourite). Then in October I was off to The Scotsman in Edinburgh and South Lodge in Sussex for their winter seminars which covered training on MFK’s stunning Christmas range.
I feel so lucky to have worked on these six events for MFK, capturing the essence of their events from reactions of attendees to the beautiful details of the day. The days are long and I’m on my feet all day, but everyone has made me feel like a part of the team – I’m not sent off to eat lunch on my own, but I’m included in the place settings and have been gifted stunning perfumes. It’s been an unexpected joy and I’m looking forward to working with them more in 2025.
I was so grateful for their recent testimonial:
“From start to finish, Tanya is an exceptional photographer. Not only does she possess remarkable talent in capturing stunning images, but she also has a unique ability to make everyone feel completely at ease in front of the camera. Her presence is so natural and unobtrusive that it feels like she’s part of our team, seamlessly blending in while capturing the most genuine moments.
Tanya’s attention to detail is outstanding – from the very first enquiry about an event to the delivery of the final shots. Her dedication ensures that every image allows us to relive the memories and moments again and again.
Tanya is truly a treasure – a photographer we’re thrilled to have by our side wherever we go across the UK.
Thank you for your incredible work, Tanya!”
Here’s some of my favourite images from the events, and if you’d be interested in using me for an event, I’d love to hear from you tanya@aldcroft-photography.co.uk
