YOUR FAMILY’S SHOOT
I love meeting families and photographing them having fun together. This is why I choose to do outdoor adventure sessions – the countryside is the best playground for your children as I can capture them being themselves. It’s always an honour to capture a moment in a family’s story, watching them run, laugh and love. The best photos I take are when your family is happy and relaxed, making for great natural images.

aren't photo shoots really awkward?
Not mine! I want to give you a great experience and this is how we get the best out of the kids. We have a lot of fun on my adventure sessions – exploring, games and cuddles so your children relax and we can capture their real personalities. There’s nothing awkward about it – just relaxed and fun quality time with your family.
I hate photos of myself!
As a professional I’m always going to find the best light and most flattering angles. Remember it’s about connecting with your family and enjoying the moment. Get in the frame for your kids – they love you just as you are! They will want to look back and remember your smile, your laugh and your hugs. Your future self will thank you too.
Where will the photo shoot be?
I have a range of locations I use in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire which I can discuss with you. Location will depend on where you live, the season and time of day we are shooting.
What happens in the event of bad weather?
I will always do my best to reschedule in the event of bad weather, but I tend to go ahead if there is light rain or showers.
Can you give advice on what to wear?
Depending on the time of year I give advice on what to wear in my ‘what to expect’ guide which you will receive when you book your shoot. For example, bluebells look best with white/grey and pastels, whilst an autumn shoot needs a different, warmer palette. You don’t have to match either, but it helps if family members coordinate.
Do you give guidance on posing?
I give some prompts on how to pose, but because I focus on lifestyle photography a lot of the images I capture are very playful and relaxed so the kids have a lot of fun playing games and it gets the best out of them. I always want to deliver a wide range of images for you, and children rarely sit still so we have lots of fun running and swinging!
What if my kids misbehave?
I have never experienced ‘bad’ kids on a shoot. They might not let you take photos of them, but it’s usually very different with me. Don’t put pressure on them to ‘perform’ on the shoot as it just stresses everyone out. I always build a rapport with the kids to gain their trust and becuase we use lots of fun prompts rather than stiff poses, I always get lots of genuine smiles. You’ll be surprised how much fun you have!
When will I get my images?
I aim to deliver your online gallery within 2 weeks of your shoot. You will have an online password protected gallery that you can then order your prints from.
