In March, I had the pleasure of photographing another International Women’s Day event ‘Female Founders Succeed’ for the Chiltern Biz Collective (an amazing local community I’ve been a member of for a few years now). This was Corinne’s third year running the event and I was so pleased to be involved again, as it’s grown year on year and has become a bit of a signature annual event now.
It was held at Ashridge House and we lucked out with a sunny day! This year’s theme was ‘success’ and how that can look very different for everyone, and it doesn’t have to mean earning 6 figures! There were 3 speakers including Ruth Wallington of Hello Ruth, Kristy Gallagher from 4Cast Bookkeeping and Carli Wall, your ‘Business Bestie.’ They all talked about their versions of success, whether that be having time to do the school run and be taxi for the kids after school clubs or taking a day off a month to do something just for you. It was so eye opening and was a great opportunity for everyone to reflect on their own ideas of success.
After a delicious lunch, the afternoon was spent pulling together your own vision board, exploring the idea of success and there was a real great atmosphere in the room. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to do something creative in a supportive and fun environment. I spent my time taking photos of course and chatting with everyone!
Once the activity was wrapped up, there was the opportunity to do some more mingling and connecting and I took headshots for 6 of the women attending. Everyone had the chance to sign up for this to get a headshot update and it was such a joy to be able to photograph in such a beautiful place as Ashridge House, a stunning local landmark!
These events always fill up my cup and have a real buzz about them – so much good energy, chats and connections. I had given the women from Aston Clinton a lift so when we got back to the village, we popped to our local to share a bottle of wine, absolute bliss and the perfect way to end the day!
If you like the sound (and look!) of this event, then give Chiltern Biz a follow to hear about next year – the event is not exclusive to members. And if you’re having an event and you think you’d like some photos, please give me a call to chat through your options.
