Buckinghamshire – Hertfordshire

Starting your own business? Victoria came to me Starting your own business? Victoria came to me having recently qualified as a massage therapist. She wanted to look professional from the off, so she asked for headshots in her therapy space. That way her clients would know exactly what to expect when visiting her for the first time. It’s a small space, but it worked perfectly for a mini session and she was so happy with the results. “I’d been following Tanya for a while on Instagram and just loved her photos so when I needed headshots for my new business I knew she’d be great. Tanya is fun, friendly, professional and puts you at ease ready to capture your best self! She gives good direction when you don’t know how to pose or worried if you’re smiling too much or not enough. Communication was excellent and I received my photos quickly. I LOVE them and so glad I booked Tanya. This week is World Breastfeeding Week so it seems This week is World Breastfeeding Week so it seems fitting to shout out Leanne from @brighterbirthing_hypnobirthing I first met Leanne about 8 years ago when she was recommended to me and we did a refresher hypnobirthing session with her when we were due to have Buzz. I absolutely loved her weekly relaxation classes too – I found it so hard to give any time to bump second time around and she has THE most soothing voice. Hypnobirthing isn’t all woo – it actually makes a lot of sense and Leanne is all about giving you knowledge to empower yourself through pregnancy and knowing your options – it’s not all about having the ‘perfect’ birth, it’s about preparing yourself for every eventuality. Leanne is now also a trained Doula which I know she must be amazing at, and is involved with lots of other local initiatives including the 6 Week Social course and a Bump and Baby Coffee Meet Up that she hosts with a local midwife. She’s a bloody great egg, and I can’t recommend her enough. It was great to have her join the content day back in June and her photos are very evergreen so she will be able to use them all year round.
A dream come true 🎈 I’ve wanted a ride in a hot a A dream come true 🎈 I’ve wanted a ride in a hot air balloon ever since I can remember and for my 40th birthday my school girls clubbed together to gift me the experience. 4 years later and about 17 cancelled flights, I finally got to live my bucket list dream, and it did not disappoint. Taking off from Cow Roast, down the road from where I grew up and now live, I got to see lots of familiar sights and after an hour we landed south of Princes Risborough. You know I love a view, and I love the Chilterns Hills, but this was next level - being so close to the ground that we could see deer and hares running through the fields, but also seeing the landscape from such a different viewpoint. It was so still, serene, and peaceful. Beautiful and pure magic ✨
Today is International Day of Friendship, so I’m s Today is International Day of Friendship, so I’m shouting out my business besties! Some were friends before becoming clients, some were clients first, but I couldn’t do without a single one! All these women (in no particular order) support me whenever I need - they’re just a voice note away (and some of them I voice note a lot!) These are women that I can trust with work wins and woes as well as enjoying seeing them on a personal level, when we don’t talk shop at all! Grateful to everyone who has been a friend on this journey 🙏🏻😘
If you want perfectly polished family photos, I’m If you want perfectly polished family photos, I’m not the photographer for you! I much prefer the relaxed and natural moments that come about when you’re connecting with your loved ones. Yes, I can do the posed thing, but the unstructured moments are where the magic happens. I think when you look back on your photos in ten years time, the messy bits are the bits you’ll miss. You’ll have new and different challenges with your kids and you’ll look back on the little years more fondly than you might think. I let the kids take the lead. I go with the flow. Yes, I have a plan in my head and certain shots I’ll try to get, but sometimes the shoot just goes in a certain direction and that’s the beauty of it, because every family is unique and I want to capture that magic for you. So if that sounds like a bit of you, get in touch and let’s get lab a shoot around your messy, but marvellous family!
