We all need a little (or maybe a lot) of help with our content sometimes don’t we? I know so many business owners who frequently scramble around for images for their posts, and when you’re busy, content is the first thing to drop off the list. I know this, because I’ve done it too!
What’s it all about?
Summer can be particularly tricky if you’re a Mum with a small business and all the things to juggle over the long summer holiday. So, I now host an annual event (well I’ve done it for two years now so I think that counts as annual) to help local small business owners to get their summer content sorted.
I hosted the day alongside Corinne who I know through The Chiltern Biz Collective which I’m a member of. As well as running a community, Corinne helps small businesses with their marketing, through her in-depth knowledge of social media. So together, Corinne helps you with ideas on what to share with your audience over the holidays ad I take the images to go with your content. Corinne was on hand to take lots of B-roll on people’s phones too so they could share reels as well as my images.
Where and How?
We hosted the day at a beautiful house in Tring (owned by interior designer, Rebecca of Weave Interiors, so when I say beautiful, I mean it!). We started the day with hot drinks and pastries alongside introductions and then got stuck in. Everyone took it in turns to have their photos taken, a bit like a mini photo shoot, in different areas of the house. When attendees weren’t in ‘shoot’ mode they were coming up with their ideas, writing captions and making their schedule.
The day had a real buzz and energy about it, with everyone supporting each other and sharing ideas – sometimes it really helps to get other people’s perspective that aren’t so involved in your business. We often overthink our content and sometimes it’s great to just keep things simple and state the obvious – not everyone sees all your content so it’s really important to keep banging the drum!
Who’s it for?
We had such a great mix of professions too, including a graphic designer, professional organiser, hypnotherapist, personal stylist and a doula. It’s really handy to have other people around who can step in as ‘clients’ too so you can get some lovely natural interactions. It means you get a huge range of images too.
There were outfit changes and a huge array of props so it was all go. Of course we had a break for lunch which was great for chatting and building those relationships with each other too.
The Results…
We had some amazing feedback and will definitely be hosting another event so drop me an email if you’d like to hear all the details.
“I’ve walked away from an event with the dream team (Corinne and Tanya) absolutely buzzing, full of motivation and just generally so happy! Massive thank you to you both for such a bloody brilliant day. I can’t wait to sit down and plan out all my content and make the most of all the fab B-roll and photos. You packed in so much value, and the group was such a lovely bunch! The community vibes and support were STRONG. Would 100% recommend this to anyone!” Sam Groves of Groves Creative.

“It was such a fabulous day in a stunning location. Thank you so much Corinne for the content ideas and Tanya for putting me at ease during the photo shoot. So lovely to be amongst other amazing business owners.” Sarah Owen from Flamingo Organising.

“The day was excellent! I was unsure what to expect and whether it would be suitable for my little business, but it was great. Both Tanya and Corinne were super organised and laid the foundations for the day brilliantly. It was informal, so I felt at ease, yet sleek so everything worked with (what appeared to me!) effortless flow!
The lunch was gorgeous and the location was stunning!
The social media content guide is great and I will definitely use it to keep things moving over the summer. One thing I would have liked to have would be a planned follow up with Corrine to marry the pictures with the posts. It would be great to be able to have this as an add option whereby time is set aside as a 1-2-1 to actually build the content whilst it is still fresh. This would help me be more organised and motivated! I would definitely recommend this event! ” Louise Abslom of New Future Me.

Our next event will be on Thursday 18th June 2026, so if you’d like to join us and get your summer sorted, please drop me an email, I’d love to have you there!
